Guest guest
Could someone please list some typical die off symptoms for me? My son is 12 and has a BM about every 3rd day (or until he can't hold it in anymore). We have been on the diet together for almost 2 weeks, and that hasn't changed at all. I started making muffins the second week. Just started the yoghurt 3 days ago when my machine came in. So far the only thing to change for him is he has lost what precious little fat there was on his body. Over the weekend he ate at least 5 nut muffins and 2 bananas a day (as well as soup, vegs, chicken pancakes, almond butter, fruit and yoghurt) At 12, he gets into the fridge on his own when I'm not looking, but so far he has only eaten legal foods. He's craving carbs, for sure. We had company last night and he isolated himself because he knew he couldn't eat things he wanted (it was pot luck, so most everything was illegal.) I had to take his food to his room. His Tourette's tics seemed a little better until I started the yoghurt--then they increased. I would especially like to know what symptoms adult women have as yeast die off occurs. Thanks so much, Regina

Guest guest
Well, it sounds like you are seeing some of the common die off symptoms. It is common for someone to have an increased appetite especially in the beginning weeks/months of the diet. It is also common to see increases in stimming or other behavior issues that are typical for the person. Also, odd stools are common whether it be from an unusual color like green, grey, ect. to seeing stringy stuff, white stuff...Other die off symptoms can very from lethargy to diharea to vomitting to irritability to really so many other things. When these harmful microbes are dying, they are emmitting more toxins than they do when living. The toxins are what cause some of these things, and so you're going to see an increase in what is normal for the person. Hope this makes sense. Guest guest
Thanks for your help. I have mold allergies and have always had brain symptoms when I eat anything fermented. I didn't have the usual symptoms when I first tried the goats milk yogurt, so I thought I would be ok, amazingly enough. But now I am so spaced out, and not very happy. My son and I both have sinus congestion. It's hard not to be afraid that we are reacting in an allergic way, especially when the yeast eradication programs I have been on before did not allow any ferments.
