Guest guest
Hi , don't give up. I am a self pay because my insurance said that any thing to do with weight loss was excluded from my plan. I'm not even going to fight it. Dr. R's office said it was almost impossible to change an exclusion. But, anything is possible if you work hard enough:>) I just don't have it in me to fight for such a private issue. My husband and I decided to take a loan against our house to pay for the surgery. The interest rate is about 9%. We renegotiate in 5 years. We hope to pay it off by then with tax returns ect.. Your health is absolutely worth every penny. I figure if I can go into debt with student loans, what's a little debt for health and happiness!! Best wishes to you and hopefully everything will work out. Good luck! As I pointed out to my husband when we self paid....the MGB is cheaper than a funeral and we weren't insured for that either. My heart aches for every person who fights the insurance battle and loses, but for me, it was the BEST money I have ever spent on myself.... Safe journey, MGB 03 MAY 00 03 NOV 00 -75 lbs!
