Guest guest
Hi , I would pull the carrots out! I believe that the carrots that are consumed today are different than the ones consumed during the days of Dr Haas. Some kids do well with carrots but others do not. If anyone has difficulty with SCD, then they should pull out carrots, nuts, beans and peanut butter. Mimi > Hello, > > I introduced carrots yesterday and this morning he has had 2 bm's. Guest guest
At the very least, it means he isn't chewing them well enough. For some reason, we frequently find that kids don't tolerate carrots well. I know they are listed as beginner foods, but you may need to consider them advanced. I would try butternut squash instead. In my experience, most kids do very well with it. Patti Carrots in BM Hello, I introduced carrots yesterday and this morning he has had 2 bm's. Both with carrots in them. Guest guest
Were they cooked? Did you puree them? You might want to try pureed butternut squash instead. Guest guest
stephanie, if i were you i would cut out the carrots. my daughter and i are in our 6th week of SCD, and can tolerate so many foods but for some reason carrots are a real problem for both of us. we use butternut squash instead and love it even better than carrots - it's very versatile. silvia > Were they cooked? Does this mean he cannot tolerate the carrots? > This not meant to be funny Steph, but my dogs have been on a special diet that includes tiny, tiny flecks of carrots which are still is visible in their stools each and every day. The diet is grain free and has really agreed with them. I never worry about seeing carrots when I see those wagging tails and wiggling happy bodies.
