The last time he had cows yogurt was day before yesterday and since then he has been more aggressive (spitting, hitting, kicking, throwing things) I think the behavior is from the cows milk yogurt. His bowels were really mucusy after the yogurt but the behavior is awful. Like I said the bowel movements are less " strange " . I ordered probiotics from Kirkmans " SCDopholis " and have been giving him 1 capsule 2x daily since yesterday. Does anyone know if goats milk yogurt will have the same effects on his behavior as cow's milk? Children with autism improve dramatically with the SCD GOAT yogurt! Improvements are seen in digestion, speech and behavior. The yogurt making process changes the structure of the casein and renders it harmless. Most children do tolerate the goat yogurt if it done the right way by starting out with a tiny amount and gradually increasing the amount. There is no risk in trying since the casein leaves the body after several days. Carol F. SCD 7 years, celiac
Guest guest
, At this point..... since you only started SCD six days ago.... you could be seeing behavior resulting from die-off. This can come off and on for several weeks. If a child was dairy free before SCD, we ALWAYS recommend that you start with GOAT yogurt, and we suggest not introducing the yogurt for anywhere between a few weeks.... to a couple of months. The reason we say this is to make it very clear that whatever you see after introducing it is NOT from initial die-off. It is really impossible to say whether what you're seeing was related to the cow yogurt, or from die-off, but you should definitely stop giving it to him and re-try with goat yogurt at least several weeks from now. Guest guest
Thank you for answering....Does the yogurt making process make cows milk yogurt harmless too? I am trying to find out if cows milk in the yogurt I made is what is causing the aggression or if it is " die off " .....Has die off stopped since the bowels are less mucusy and spongy and green and his cough has stopped?
