Guest guest
Chrissy, there is a test called a C-peptide test that can tell how much insulin your cells are making. Dr. Sutherland ordered this test for me but I am waiting for my appointment to have it done on Feb. 2nd. I am having this test done back home so I don't have to drive 5 hours for a blood test. Check out this link to read more about it: http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/c_peptide/test.html Sample: (If you have had your pancreas removed or are one of the few patients to have had pancreas islet cell transplants (in order to restore your ability to make insulin), your C-peptide levels may be monitored to verify the effectiveness of treatment and continued success of the procedure.) Hope this helps you! Darren
