Hi Patti:

I just want to make this clear that I am not bashing SCD whatever so ever, I'm

just trying to figure things out because it's been so frustrating for us. He is

7yo now and his appetitte has been getting bigger and bigger:

Breakfast:

Pancakes (made with pecan flour and Frontier vanilla) I cut up less than half

of a very ripe organic banana, nuke it a little and then spread it on the

pancakes. Then he has a few chicken pancakes (made with organic chicken and

eggs and a little sea salt). Then he has his all SCD legal supplements in a

little pear sauce (made from organic pears). He drinks Fiji water with

Kirkman's Enzyme Complete.

Lunch:

He has veggie pizza (made with pecan flour, organic avocado and broccoli and

olive oil, sea salt)

Chicken Pancakes

Squash Fries (made with organic squash, olive oil and sea salt)

Drinks: Fiji water with Kirkman's Enzyme Complete

Snack:

Cookies (made with pecan flour, cinnamon and vanilla) or

Chopped up Pears

Dinner:

He has either baked organic chicken thigh, turkey breasts, or steak (any pork

makes him sick)

With Squash Fries and Chicken pancakes

Then some Pear Sauce with supplements in them because he can't swallow pills

yet.

Drinks, Fiji water with Kirkman's Enzyme Complete

Bed time:

He has some water with his probiotics in it.

He can not tolerate L.Acidophilius (sp?) at all, we have tried several times

giving him that he makes him act uncontrolable. We tried the yogurt with goat

milk same effect. His GI doc told us he can not tolerate L.Acidophilius because

he has a high D-Lacate levels.

Thank you.

Jeanne,

You may need to add in some natural anti-fungals, or some of the anti-yeast

enzymes, such as Candidase or Candex.

Are you satisfied with the level of gut healing from SCD? Or do you think things

could be better?

Is he taking probiotics? Have you ever done the SCD yogurt?

How would you feel about taking a step back with SCD... perhaps simplifying

things a bit until the yeast is under control? Now that he is no longer

chelating, I think you'd have a better chance of getting that next level of

healing out of the diet.

You'd need to let us know exactly what foods he's now eating and how they are

prepared.... plus exactly what supplements.... and of course, making sure any

and all supplements are legal.

SCDiet Question - Advice Needed

Hi:

My 7yo son has been on a VERY strict Specific Carb. Diet for 3 years now. During

the 3 years we chelated for 2 years, then we did the French test which determine

he can stop, which I really wanted to give his body a break from everything. We

are in the process of starting Dr. Yasko's protocol, we just mail in the genetic

testing but have not started anything yet until we receive the test back.

My son has always been battling yeast no matter what, first we thought it was

because he was chelating, but he hasn't been chelating in 4 months. He is still

on the SCDiet with supplements, although it was helped with his diarrhea, he is

still battling yeast. It is so frustrating because everything he eats and drinks

is organic and pure and I just can't understand why he is still battling yeast.

Any suggestions/advice will be helpful.

Thank you.

Hi Jeanne....

Don't worry, I would not have thought you were bashing SCD. :)

So, you didn't say which probiotics he is taking, if not acidphophilus... then

which strains? What product?

Are you using any natural antifungals?

What about his other supplements? Is he taking lots of calcium, by any chance?

I just have had that popping up for so many kids lately... so I just had to ask.

I have an idea regarding why some of the kids react so badly to

l.acidophilus.... if you want to e-mail me privately: durovchic@...

It's actually related to the whole Vitamin K protocol and calcium management, so

I hate to keep bringing it up here.

I keep referring people to read 's research paper at:

http://gutresearch.com/v1.html

But, maybe you've already taken a look at that? She convinced me to go that

direction based on my daughter's history. She is not an ASD kid.... she has CP

and epilepsy. After a year on SCD during our first stint a few years ago,

Katera's seizures got worse..... and we really think this whole calcium

management/oxalate issue was probably why.

Anyway, feel free to contact me off list.
