Guest guest
I can see the subtle differences. Like you said, they aren't dramatic, but he did start late. Luckily for him, his head wasn't severe to begin with. I think that the ending shape definately could easily pass for totally normal. And, there were changes. What always gets me is when an ortho or technician tells a parent that the amount of change isn't worth the money. How we as parents spend our money is our own decision. Obviously, you feel that it was worth it and I did as well. Thanks for sharing. Exit photos & scan Starband 18-26 1/2 mos So I was finally able to post the photostudy and scan of in the Older plagio kids folder. He graduated at the end of March. He wore a Starband for 8 1/2 mos starting at 18 mos. It was definetly worth it.Thank you everybody. , Tampa, FL, 28 mos, Starband grad Mar 2010
Guest guest
Hi, Yes, I see the improvement too. Congratulations. Nobody would ever suspect he had plagio. For a mild case, small improvements go a long way visually.  Thanks for posting. Guest guest
Hi, I just showed the pictures to my husband. He thought the pictures looked significantly better. He thought didn't look bad to start with, but that he looks normal now. Oddly, the scan contours didn't show as much improvement as the pictures. We think 's current severity looks very comparable to 's. Although their heads are naturally shaped a bit different. As of early April, my husband also thinks 's head looks normal. I still see a little asymmetry, but much less than a year ago. -Kathy, mom to turning 2, treating plagio since 12 months wrote: So I was finally able to post the photostudy and scan of in the Older plagio kids folder. Guest guest
As the group contrarian, I'm going to go out on a limb to say that the results ARE dramatic, physically LARGE, and worth at least TWICE the money and time invested. ) Congrats. -- Thad Launderville Montpelier, VT Clara age 2, STARband '
Guest guest
,I agree, why do they worry how we spend our money? They should just make sure we can't expect miracles but after that it's obviously the parent's decision. Guest guest
I understand. I am feeling the same with both my boys, but for me it depends on the hour. It is tough! I'm really hoping that with alternative treatments, they will slowly improve as they grow. I don't know whether this is possible, especially for the 5.5 year old. It wouldn't take much improvement for either of my boys. Are you still trying CST? Best, Kathy Lulei wrote: Kathy, Thank you. I'm glad you guys think he looks fine. It depends on the days for me. Guest guest
Hi Kathy, sorry I'm replying only now. The last time had CSt was end of Feb. His therapist thought he felt good, no more restrictions. I'm going to try and bring him again soon to see if she finds any change.
