Hi, all:

Here's a quick update: Carlton sailed through surgery in Asheville this

morning, and his doctor is pretty sure that the thyroid growth is NOT

cancerous! We'll know for sure by early next week.

I must return to the hospital this evening, but I do want to let all of you

know that your prayers and kind thoughts and concern have been so wonderful

for Carlton, and me.
