Guest guest
Hey everyone.. I am posting this to both groups because i know this can not only benefit new post ops but also pre-ops.. First off, I found out what happens when I drink too much water.. Last night I drank about 16 oz of water <after not eating for a few hours> in about 2 hours or so and didn't even realize it.. I didn't mean to drink that much but i just kept sipping... I never felt " full " , I only gulped once and caught myself so I put the straw back in and then worried I hurt something.. But, I didn't... And I didn't feel pain/pressure or anything else that would have told me to slow down... It felt great.. I didn't feel sooo thursty.. I guess my body was just telling me what it needed.. I tried the salt and it only made me thurstier.. Maybe I am just a little dehydrated or something.. Of course, ever since I got out of the hospital all I have wated to do was drink lots and lots of ice cold water.. I would be so happy if I could guzzle a gallon of it right now... hehehe... BUT!! I did find myself in the bathroom more than a few times.. It just went straight through me and cleaned my system out!! Of course i will be careful NOT to do this with juice or anything with a lot of sugar or anything.. But I know water will help the weight loss also so, I guess as long as I'm not in pain or uncomfortable, I'm doing ok... The second thing I wouod like to comment on is that I have been told by a lot of people to try watermelon... Well, I went to wal-mart last night and got 1/4 of a watermelon to try.. I should have bought a whole one!!! I scraped it out of the shell and made sure I got ALL the seeds out including the little white ones and then used my hand blender to make a liquid... I took a tiny little sip and it was WONDERFUL!! I put it into a container and it's now in the freezer.. I can't wait for it to be frozen so I can shave some off of it... I figure it's no different than the juice bars that dole has or V8 juice or carrot juice.. They ALL have pulp in them... The watermellon pulp is so much less than even the V8... I also took some soups and put them in the ice cube trays and made little 1 oz meals.. I didn't add water to them before I froze them so I can eaither take 2 cubes and eat them like that or 1 cube and add some water to it depending on how much salt I want/need... I am finding some really nifty things to do even with the little bit we can actually have.. Can't wait to see how creative I can get with the next phase... Still have another week 1/2 but, that's ok!!! Guest guest
I adore that soup in the ice cube tray idea. That's the BOMB! Glad to hear you're doing well. I hate to be personal, but when you say the water went right through you, you WEREN'T saying you had to pee a lot were you...? Just want to know what to look forward to. Anyhoo, congrats, and thanks for the marvy post. Sperb >>> kf4vnt@... 10/30/00 10:16AM >>> Hey everyone..
