Guest guest
To heavy for overhead bin!! You have 2 choices: (1) they put it ON place - last like a carriage -by door-maybe a script would be needed - call AIRPORT. Explain need and cost of equipment and see what they advise. (2) put in on the w/ suitcases- If Make a wish doing trip they will arrange for vest to get to hotel and picked up.
Guest guest
It will fit in some aircrafts, and it will not fit in others. If it does not fit on the overhead compartment, the flight attendants will stow it in the front. You do not need to have a prescription, be prepare to ask a thousand questions, exagerating, on each check point. If you are going from the east coast to the west coast more than likely it will be a big plane. On our recent trip to Venezuela, we took a total of 8 planes and were in 4 different airports, everybody was very sweet and very helpful, including the TSA people at the airports. You should not have any problems. > We are flying to San Diego this week and taking our son's vest. Do > we need to carry a prescription for it so they will allow it on the > plane? Guest guest
The new one is supposed to fit under the seat, I have heard. I would carry a doc's note for it and any other equipment/meds you plan to take with you. Have a good trip! vest on the plane--need a script? Guest guest
, You don't need any additional documentation for the Vest. I take mine all over the country and I turn it in as luggage. If they ask me what it is, I tell them that it is a medical device. They usually tag it as fragile and have me sign a waiver that they are not responsible for any damage. Your guarantee on the Vest covers damage during air travel. I have schlepped mine around and have never had a problem. I even used to put the Model 103 (the bigger unit) on the plane with no problem. I don't know if it fits under the seat in the plane. I have never tried. Taking a letter or a script with you is not a bad idea. You never know when you will run into some gung-ho screener that gives you all sorts of grief. It has not happened to me, but you know 's Law. Take care. I hope this helps. Guest guest
We encountered this problem last year as well unless you have the new small machine no it will not fit overhead . I after showing my bad side to the airline attendants was allowed by the captin of the plane to keep it in his cockpit and on the small commuter plane to keep it in the closet up front . Be very firm w/ them I simply told them they could pay the thousands of $$$$$ tpo replace it if it got broken in baggage ! Hey it worked for me !
