Blanching almonds

Anyone know how to blanch almonds? I need to make some spiced nuts to replace

the Christmas candy and cookies. I used to make chocolate covered almonds by

coating them in a sugar and spices mixture, toasting, and then dipping in

chocolate. I'm going to just blanch the almonds first, coat them in a honey and

spices mixture this year, and roast them in the oven. I think they'll be really

good even without the chocolate, but I have no idea how to blanch almonds.
