Guest guest
Hi My name is Lesa and I've been dealing with a pancreatic flare up since the end of May. For the past 2 weeks I have been able to eat normally and cut back on my enzymes. I hope this post doesn't jinx my eating. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this board. When things were really bad I could check this board and not feel so alone and also pick up some good information. My diagnosis from cat scan and ERCP in June is chronic pancreatitis ( which was a relief since the docs were looking for cancer). My GI put me on enzymes fairly quickly and they made me much worse, but finally better. I have cut down to one darvocett at night. I am off of the sleeping pills and am learning to watch what I eat. I think my pc is hereditary since my mother and her mother both have had it. My chiropractor has been my best ally in all of this once I could start taking nutritional supplements. He thinks the trigger for this attack was my colon and high estrogen levels. He has worked with me every week to get things under control and also has kept my aligment in check since the swelling in my pancreas knocked my ribs and neck out of place. I also have been getting massage once a week from a friend who is a rolfer. She has kept me at peace with my body. I am so happy to be able to have the calories to do things like walk the dog and clean house. Thanks again for being here.
