Guest guest
I don't know if there is any research about grain fed animals " passing along " their starcy intake...or however you want to say that...I know what you're getting at...I have decided that it is best to go pasture fed with animals products. I have seen a difference with iel's speech improving once I cut out regular old store bought meats. Meleah Glutamate and SCD yogurt? SCD goat's yogurt is low in glutamate levels, right?Thinking of starting the yogurt back up with my son. I think my kids have a big problems with the all, and I mean all high glutamate foods. I now see why the legal cheddar cheese a christmas made my son crazy. Why the nutbutter/squash bread my son ate over the last 2 days is causing stuttering and so much behaviour.(His teacher will have fun with him today) Over the past few years I removed so much food..everything is a high glutamate food?(I didn't realise how all this food was related)It all caused severe behav. and digestive issues etc. As I tried new foods there was always..always a problem with high glutamate foods. He showed many signs of autism when he was younger ...but many things improved as we removed and avoided most high glutamate foods. If I look back at the times when he was at his worst(behav.,stuttering,ocd,adhd)..he was eating lots of a high glutamate food...and removing something made it much better. I am wondering if I need to avoid grain feed chickens? There is one in the frig...he will eat lots. I hope he likes the nut-free bread. Guest guest
Cathy, What foods are you giving your child? Did you start out with the intro diet and gradually introduce new foods and assess if the new foods were tolerated? What supplements? Are you giving peanut butter? Any ready made foods? Guest guest
Cathy, Are you using standard grocery store chicken.... not organic, free-range or whatever? I know that most regular chickens are fed feed that is laced with arsenic.... I think that is added as an anti-parasitic. I honestly don't know how much of that ends up in the meat, or if it's dangerous or not, I just read that is common practice. I don't think any of the starch components of the grains end up going through into the meat... that isn't the issue. You just might want to try organic birds for a while, or at least do a little Googling about the arsenic in chicken feed issue. Patti Glutamate and SCD yogurt? I am wondering if I need to avoid grain feed chickens? There is one in the frig...he will eat lots. Guest guest
Mimi, sorry the last post wasn't too accurate. I shouldn't had posted just before I had lunches to deliver. He is also eating apple cider, spaghetti squash, broccoli, cauliflower , cantaloupe, and Pineapple...all cooked...they are beyond stage 2. that is it. We did remove some apple juice a while back too, as it was illegal. Sorry again....I'm probably confusing you. thanks, Cathy -- In pecanbread , " cjb202207 " wrote: > > Just cooked/seeded early stage fruits and veges..various meats, lots > of eggs.(haven't gotten far on fruit/veges... > Started goat's yogurt and probiotic(l. acidophilusGi-prohealth) in > november...stopped it december 18th..behav. so bad. > > Just tried pecan butter...that didn't go well. > No nuts, no peanut butter, no ready made foods. > > Just started green pastures fermented clo.(1 week ago) > Just got some kirkman's magnesium glycinate...haven't used it yet. > Not currently taking any other supplements. > > We did start with intro...made the mistake of trying the dry > curd...stopped it...tried some nut butter in september...stopped it too. > Started intro over in october...we are only on stage 2ish of the dairy > -free after intro. chart...with the exception of using some cooked > strained raspberries in popsicles...there are fruits/veges in the > first 2 stages he can't eat. > Cathy > > > > I don't know if there is any research about grain fed animals " passing > > > along " their starcy intake...or however you want to say that...I > know what > > > you're getting at...I have decided that it is best to go pasture > fed with > > > animals products. Guest guest
Patti, Yep, the grocery store chicken...It says it is grain feed. I wish I could afford the organic/free range...we have been eating lots of chicken...so I'm feeding them arsenic yum!...but I do think the high glumanate food makes him crazy too!... I wish we didn't have to rely so much on meat now. My magnesium glycinate just arrived at my door...my son looked so silly when I delivered his lunch today...maybe it will help. I Can't wait for the brokerage on my K2, it should comes this week. Maybe I should reconsider the type of meat we eat and how much...I always knew that there was concerns about chicken...one more thing for me to worry about. I had 2 really good days...now I'm a bit depressed..Oh well... Have a good day Patti, cathy > > Cathy, > > Are you using standard grocery store chicken.... not organic, free-range or whatever? Guest guest
Patti, I'm sorry I'm an idiot when it comes to words.(I sincerely mean this) I'm just kidding about the depressed thing....I don't want simpathy, or anyone to feel sorry for me...most you mom's have been through a lot more than I have. I apprecicate the info. on the chicken...and I imagine lots a people are in the same situation with food costing a lot. Yes I do worry a lot...I'm working on that. I sound pretty winey... don't I? I should think more before I post, I always use the wrong words...Sorry for offending you...I know I done this before... cathy > > > > <<one more thing for me to worry about. > I had 2 really good days...now I'm a bit depressed..Oh well...>> > > Oops... sorry, Cathy!
