Guest guest
Hey Cindy, don't feel bad for being " suckered in " . I know some feel that they've heard too much about T. and at first I agreed, but after some soul searching about it, in my opiinion, I feel that if this group doesn't keep the newbies informed about her -- they could be contacted and possibly be scared away from this life-saving surgery. I've been reading about T. and I really can't bring myself to feel bad about her -- she truly seems to be passionate at whatever she believes in at the time -- and I respect that. What she doesn't understand is that we are not all ignorant -- we have done our research and found that in spite of possible complications of this surgery, we feel that this is the best thing for us. I've heard it said that the complications from this surgery are scientific possibliites, however, if I don't do something about my weight, my weight-related complications will become certanties. I wish she would respect us as being educated adults very capable of making our own decisions without her input. In my opinion, I am here because the Lord brought me here -- if it is in His will, then I will be lucky enough to meet the wonderful Dr. Rutledge who through his very skilled hands will give me my life back. I believe the Lord already knows the outcome -- and that there is nothing that T can say nor that we can do that will change that outcome. We take risks in anything we do in life -- even walking out of our doors each day -- I however refuse to let fear hold me back from living life to the fullest -- and with the help of the Lord and Dr. Rutledge -- I intend to do just that. Take care all -- and God bless. from Michigan
