Becky--you are probably more qualified than 90% - I give the old timers some

credit.. I hate arrogant Drs. that treat mothers like we're morons........

I say go with your gut too (but don't overlook that Denmark has a

longer CF lifespan, and their patients get IV antibiotics four times

a year whether they need it or not).

About idiot doctors... A friend of mine who lives in another country

wrote to me today upset. She'd just come from a clinic visit with her

little one (3 1/2 years old).

The doctor was pleased with her child's spirometry and oximeter

readings, and he proceeded to " educate " her about these readings as

if she had the IQ of a greenbean. She's very intelligent and has been

eating, sleeping, breathing, studying CF for 3 1/2 years so like most

of you out there, she knows more than the doctor.

But the doctor (are you ready for this?) also told her that because

she was a working mother, she over-compensated about his CF by

obsessing about it, and that she relied too heavily on information

from the internet -- AND she was wrong to feed him such healthy

foods.

YES! This moron actually told the mother she needed to feed him junk

food often (and he even called it junk food!). He specifically told

her to feed him hamburgers and fries from Mcs.

Are y'all ready to form a posse and go lynch some of these bird-brain

morons that we're supposed to trust?
