Guest guest
On the left hand menu, there is an option called Pre-Op Test. I don't think Dr. R has made it a requirement as yet (at least it wasn't on 10/04 when I had my MGB). He wsa concerned that people were not getting enough detail into their patient letters, so he developed the test to cover some topics that he wants covered - like understanding and being able to describe the other procedures. He had just put this up to get people's reactions - I didn't formally take the test and submit it. I just looked it over and tried to make sure that I had covered most of the questions in my patient letter. As far as I know, if you've already been approved for the surgery you don't have to worry about the test. If you are still working on your packet, look it over - it just might give you some ideas to beef up your letter. The paperwork that someone referred to filling out in the hospital is the informed consent form. You can see what the form looks like at the back of the Patient Education Manual. You have to fill it out at the hospital and sign it in front of the nurse before the surgery. Hope this helps. in Chicago MGB 10/04 259/245/..
