Social Security Disability Award & Review Process

OK gang,

I went back and check all my records from SSDI to make sure what I am

telling you is correct.

The date on my award letter is June 26 2004. SS had set my date of

disability as 15 Jan 2003. And yes, due to my age and how long I had

fought not going on SSDI, I was awarded First time up. I thank God

every day for that blessing !!

My first check was deposited in my designated acount on 3 July 04.

This check included payments back to July03 as my date of disability

was 15 Jan 03.This included the obilgatory 5 month wait!) Ever since

that check in early July, I have had a monthly check automatically

deposited in to my bank accountnon the 4th Weds of the month ! Don't

even have to leave the house !!

If you have the handbook about Social Security Disability Benefits

(Publication No. 05-10029 check out page 12 (bottom) and it talks

about the review process. Every one is subjected to it, just depends

on if SS thinks you are likely to improve or not.
