Guest guest
My husband emailed me this editorial from the Fox news site. WASHINGTON (AP) - The Food and Drug Administration on Monday approved the first generic version of a patch used to treat severe chronic pain. Mylan Technologies received approval for a generic version of Alza Corp.'s Duragesic patch. When applied to the skin, the technology delivers fentanyl, a pain medication, that is slowly absorbed into the body and provides relief for up to three days. The original fentanyl transdermal system was approved in August 1990. It is currently approved for patients who require continuous opioid analgesia for pain that cannot be managed through other means. Consumers can call (888) INFO-FDA for more information. Hope this might be of interest to some of you. Regards, Ward PAI Administration Support Staff dceward@...
