Guest guest
Hello everyone, I am now so far behind with my reading that I think I'm just going to have to take it from here and start again! I want to send warm greetings to you all and a special " Hello " to new members. Some of you know that that I've been away in Spain and also grappling with the news of my husband's prostate caner as well as my own hereditary chronic pancreatitis. We both now have dates for our tests. Jim's are on the 19th Nov and my ERCP follows on the 24th. I have to go in a couple of days beforehand for blood tests and to collect a particular antibiotic pill. I have to take the antibiotic early on the morning of the ERCP itself. The purpose is not just to look closely at the whole picture but also to collect pancreatic juices for analysis and possibly do cell brushings as well. This is part of a current research programme on cancer-screening; it isn't part of a regular teatment programme. Jim's tests will tell us the extent of his problem so, as you will understand, this is a most anxious time for both of us. I may already have told you that Sue is now at home again. I expect she will post again soon. Can Chrissy or someone else remind me of the date of her surgery? I did read her post saying that her insurance had now accepted the surgery and she was just worrying about what to wear! Well, there's a very fashionable sort of white gown...........!!! Seriously, Chrissy, lots of love and good wishes to you now as you face your big day for the TP/ICT. (Unless I've missed it? Did you get my card?) Love to everyone. I'll try to keep more in touch now. Fliss (UK)
