Guest guest
Well, Piper went for clinic today. Her weight was up a little, she is in the 25th percentile for weight, and the 10th percentile for height. They repeated her throat culture and drew a lot of labs. If she does culture PA again, she will be admitted for 2 weeks IV tobramyacin. He said that they will put in a picc line, so that maybe we could go home after a couple of days and finish out the IV meds at home. I already told him that IF all this happens, I want her peak and trough levels checked EVERY 48 hours, just a precaution. I know that means that Piper will have to be stuck every other day, but I think that is a small price to pay compared to what could happen if they weren't checked frequently. Anyway, just thought that I would pass this on, since no one else can understand what this stuff means : ) Katy Mom to Austin 4 no CF & Piper 18 months w/CF
