Guest guest
I know that Jice Plus is on the illegal list, and I somehow think that someone has explained why in the past. We don't use it, and don't want to. I have some friends that were wondering what it is about Juice Plus that is illegal. They're pretty high up in the pyramid, so they're curious. They now have the garden and orchard capsule(the one they've always had) and the vineyard capsule(more recent). They also mentioned that the formula for the capsule was changed last summer. If anyone already knows why it is illegal, I'd love to be able to point out the illegal elements of the supp to them. Meleah
Guest guest
Meleah, Here's a clip from the site I always refer people to regarding Juice Plus... <<What's in Juice Plus+? NSA's Guide for New Distributors, a 94-page loose-leaf manual dated October 1997, stated that 17 foods are juiced to extract their nutritional essence and then reduced to powders using a proprietary process that avoids high temperatures. During the process, sugar, salt, and most of the calories and fiber are removed. " Orchard Blend " capsules are derived from acerola berries, apples, cranberries, oranges, papaya, peaches, and pineapple. " Garden Blend " capsules contain barley, beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, kale, oats, parsley, spinach, and tomato. Both products are also said to contain corresponding soluble and insoluble fibers, phytochemical " food actives, " vitamins, minerals, and enzymes. Additional fiber and enzymes are added, and the products are encapsulated by a company called Natural Alternatives International [8].>> The URL for the above segment is: http://www.mlmwatch.org/04C/NSA/juiceplus.html Just what I copied above should be enough to make it obvious that these supps are illegal on SCD. The rest of that particular page might be of further interest to anyone considering taking the supplements, but this list would not be the place to start up a debate about it. They offer plenty of documentation for the statements they make, so I'd suggest following those up off list. Then, the following statement is from Wikipedia: << Juice Plus gummies consist of 85% corn syrup and 10% beef gelatin. >> Again.... obviously not compatible with SCD. By the way, I found out that it's really, really hard to find out what the actual ingredients in Juice Plus are by going to their own website. It's like they just don't really want anybody to know what the " secret " , special ingredients are. my two cents, Patti Legal supps I know that Jice Plus is on the illegal list, and I somehow think that someone has explained why in the past.
