Guest guest
Hi all, had his regular check up today at the cf clinic. Everything " cf " related is fine. However, this morning we noticed that his fingers on both hands were swollen. He has not had any new foods or meds. We showed it to the doctors at the clinic. They agreed that they were swollen, by this time, it had gone into his hands. So they put one of those bags on him down below to get a urine sample. Four hours later, he pees! They checked it for protein and it came back with a small trace of it. They are sending the sample to the lab and will call tomorrow. Any ideas as to what this is? Guest guest
Is he on steroids? I noticed when I was taking betamethazone for preterm labor my fingers would swell.I also found it made my arthritis worse it made my hands lose strength,I couldn't even open a jar of baby food.It could have been caused by the gestational diabetes also.BeckyB. Guest guest
He is on pulmicort. He has been on it for over a year now. Do you think this could be the cause? The doctor is supposed to be calling us some time today with results from the urine sample. His hands look a little better this am. I will keep you posted when we know more. Thanks so much to everyone for their support. Cheryl, mom to 3 boys, Zac 8 yrs. wocf, Jake 3 yrs. wocf, Matty 2 yrs. wcf Re: swollen hands Is he on steroids?
