Any ortho like that should not even join this group - we aren't here for people to snoop. I would definitely get in touch and ask them what is going on, why they are contacting you via email, and how they got that email address. I have heard of providers having people get the band then not follow up, and they have no choice but to notify them treatment is stopped. However they have to exhaust all their means for contacting the customer including the telephone - presumably they have your number. I think I would not have too much confidence in the ortho at this point, but if you did want to continue I it seems okay to me to wear the band for fewer hours if he is tolerating it. The correction won't be as good, but you should still get some.
