Guest guest
Patti Good advice! I began introducing a fruit (banana) after several days on the intro diet. My son has been doing a bit of smiling at nothing, acting spacy, and closing his eyes again. He did not do those things when he was on the intro diet (though he did scream and whine and raise hell!) and now the " yeasty " like symptoms are returning. My son is on an anti fungal (Nizerol) as well as valtrex and zoloft (SSRI, low dose). We did two days of bananas (about 1/4 of an actual banana so not much per day) and today we began zuchini/squash/green which I peeled, desseded as much as I could and baked in the oven on parchment paper. I added salt, pepper, and herbs de provence to the chicken on the Foremon grill and I didn't have to fight my son to eat this or the zuchini this evening. Hooray! Just wondering if perhaps the symptoms above are normal or if this sounds familiar?? Guest guest
Kristie, For some unknown reason, some kids just can't handle bannanas. The same is true of the cooked carrots and honey. Everyone is different, so I think you ought to pull the bannanas, and try something else. I'm glad to hear that he ate the aucchini and chicken. Was your herb mixture for the chicken prepackaged that way, or did you mix it yourself? Spice or herb combos are not legal unless you mix them at home yourself because starches are put in the mix. I'd stick with the zucchini as your new veggie for a couple of days, and then try a different fruit like applesauce(homemade, of course), or steamed or baked apple slices. Guest guest
The stool was probably a lot of die off still. Meleah Re: general advice.... " yeasty " with addition from intro diet and first fruit Oh and I forgot to mention that since we introed banana he went from like five stools a day and a really sore butt to no stool until today after some mineral oil (strange smelling runny black tar stool). Gross and descriptive I know..sorry. Guest guest
Meelah The herbs de provence state they are organic with nothing added except for the herb in it. It is made by Spice Hunters http://www.spicehunter.com/organic_spices.cfm?DID=27 I took out banana today and just continued squash/zuccini. The black tar running out of diaper stool continued and he had a movement about four times today...ughhh. He ate chicken pancakes, hamburger patty, baked zuccini (skin peeled and deseeded). I will introduce a sauce tomorrow. Any advice anyone??? Guest guest
Kristie, Just about seven weeks ago...we added Knudsen Farm's juices to my son's diet and we noticed the same things your noticing shutting his eye's, noticing that my non-verbal child seemed to be having light sensitivities...headaches and the yelling sporaticly started up...which I have related to headaches and extreme insomnia....I thought this must be an increased yeast issue and I started to feed him five or so cloves of garlic chopped up in his ground veal with his butternut squash...for about three or four days and we noticed major cramping and crying all night long and then his first Bowel Movement there was the nasty yeast...(my child isn't potty trained just turned 3), so I am always looking to see if were having normal stool or not...(really sounds gross, but the stool and the ecezma and behavior tell it all)my son has had three die-offs in the last four months, but then the nasty yeast can make it's way back into our lives with feeding it...the yeast looks like plant roots and when you have a die-off you will see massive amounts of these plant roots which are the candida yeast/fungus these roots are what poke holes in their intestine's and cause the leaky gut which cause's all of the major autistic symptoms...Now, we noticed ours after doing a challenge of DMSA and followed by juices for several weeks...Hope this helps...Dana > > Oh and I forgot to mention that since we introed banana he went from > like five stools a day and a really sore butt to no stool until > today after some mineral oil (strange smelling runny black tar > stool). Guest guest
I know your child is not on SCD yet, but just wanted to make sure everyone is clear that the only Knudsen juices that are SCD legal are in the " Just Juice " line.
