Guest guest
I can only give you my personal statistics. I had 5 ERCPs. One useless one...Could not get by the papilla. One stenting w/ enlarging the duct. One to take out the stent and take more xrays. One to put in a stent for the lithotripsy and take very detailed xrays. One to take out the stone that was supposed to be pulverized but was still sitting there as big as can be and could not be removed via the ERCP. The last one caused a huge attack BUT that was because the stone had gotten so big, the contrast would/could not drain. The others were tolerable experiences. A little sore throat and groggy from the lala stuff they give you. That is my non-medical version of an ERCP. Good luck to you. My thoughts will be with you.
