Guest guest
my husband announced this morning that our family is fianlly going to take the trip to vancouver Canada that we have been planning for two years. we leave tomorrow. My son is almost 3 weeks into the diet-eating very limited foods(eggs, bananas, chicken, tons of squash). Any hints about eating out, how to order, or if I should just give it up and cook like a mad woman until we leave tomorrow and bring all of his food? ti will be fun, but I won't get excited until I get the food issue out of the way. any help is greatly appreciated Teena
Guest guest
We're in the same situation. We drove for 3 days to be gone from our home for a month. We just got here yesterday. I took hard boiled eggs, meatballs/chicken balls, squash cakes etc. I took most of it in plastic bags and layered the balls/cakes with parchment. I froze the items that I wanted to keep for a few days longer and let it thaw as we drove. It gave me enough to work with for the trip and one day here. I couldn't trust how foods were cooked etc. from rest stops etc. I focused on taking with me the items that I couldn't be sure would be legally prepared. Chicken/meat/cooked squash etc. The other items we first month scd ers are eatting are so few I figured they could be easily picked up at stores. I did bring my own juice because I was in the car and had room for several bottles. I really stressed over getting this done and didn't look forward to the relaxation of my trip at all. The travel time ended up being just fine because of the simple foods my 2 year old is eatting right now. I put his pro biotic in a freezer bag to keep it alive. It really was a simpler process than I thought it would be. Good luck, happy trip. :)Aimee 2 yr son, healing leaky gut, SCD 3 weeks > > my husband announced this morning that our family is fianlly going to > take the trip to vancouver Canada that we have been planning for two > years. we leave tomorrow.
