Guest guest
I am curious to know how many people here have done the antioxidant therapy? I've found a wealth of postive information on it in the UK, but not USA(not suprising). If I understand correctly; there is a blood test to determine if this might be an answer to idopathic pacreatitis? Anyone who has ANY experience with this...I would VERY much appreciate talking with you. All of my husbands attacks have followed weeks/months of hard work and not eating much or properly...then having a large fatty meal. Perhaps he has these low levels..... dk_40207 @ yahoo.com ps thank you to all who have replied to my previous inquiries!
Guest guest
wrote: > I am curious to know how many people here have done the antioxidant therapy? , It's me again....(Heidi). I've been taking the antioxidant therapy recommended by the Manchester Royal Infirmary of the UK for the past three years. This antioxidant therapy consists of taking precise amounts of Beta Carotene, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Selenium and L-Methionine daily. The research done in England resulted in lower incidences of pancreatic pain and fewer attacks. These vitamins, amino acids and minerals can be purchased through a company called Pharmanord in the UK in the form of a single capsule called Antox. Otherwise, a person can buy the individual pills and take them in the correct quantities that would equal the same dosage as Antox. I've purchased the antioxidants from England, and have also found sources in the US that sell them. Now I usually buy them from a local health food store that keeps what I need in stock. In addition to these antioxidants, I also take grapeseed extract, vitamin B-12, and another package of antioxidants that help lower blood glucose levels. Those additional antioxidants are for my diabetes, and the package contains Vitamin E, Chronium Picolinate, Selenium, A multivitamin with Luten, Folic Acid, Vitamin C and Alpha Lipoic Acid. I've noticed the difference between the times I've not taken the antioxidants and when I have, and have noticed a distinct improvement while on the antioxidant therapy, both in my pain levels and my BG levels. I'm a firm believer in the benefits of this kind of therapy and have never hesitated to recommend it to others. If you have any questions about this, please don't hesitate to ask me. Guest guest
Heidi, Could you post where you ordered Antox in the US? What do you ask the health food store to order? I'm trying to follow using individual components, but it's a ton of pills each day. Did you ever find any information that would contraindicate taking Actonel with pancreatitis. Thank you Caroline Burton Fayetteville, Arkansas
