Looking at things through a new eyes

Dear MGB members, (especially newbies)

I have always considered myself pragmatic & open minded and anything but

gullible...however...

I am ashamed to say that I was recently sucked in and rendered fearful by the

ramblings of . I exchanged many emails with her, and thought

she had my best interest at heart. (OMG, I almost " networked " with her...)

She even thought she had " SAVED " me from the MGB (and so did I). I am now

looking at things through clearer eyes. (she's good at what she does:

" Conjure FEAR " )

I too, think that it is important that everyone do their own research, to

decide what surgery is best for them. But please do it with your physicians

& local surgeons, instead of LT, lest you fall prey to her fear as did I.

There aren't clear RIGHTS and WRONGS. There are so many bariatric surgeons

that disagree...listen to them all, talk to your doctor and make your own

educated decision. My choice will be the MGB, it feels RIGHT for me. One

morning I hit my knees to pray, specifically for guidance on making a

decision about weight loss surgery, and THAT evening I found http://clos.net.

(Coincidence? I think not!) Then I started to doubt what I felt after seeing

LT's site ... Since my dealings (emails) with LT, I've continued to pray

and am ABSOLUTELY sure that I shouldn't be having ANY dialogue with her at

all. That is the way it will remain! I already feel better just getting all

of this out! (PHEW!!)

I too, will IGNORE her future emails (and I'm sure I'll get a few!!), and

stick to what feels right...which is the support of this egroup and other

Possitive & SUPPORTIVE obesity boards.
