Guest guest
Hi Terri ! Well its icky alright ! I started my period two days before surgery...I was mortified !! I told the nurse and she told me not to worry about it. She said let the OR nurse know. They DO NOT allow you to wear tampons during surgery. You will have to wear a pad. Thats what I did. They even brought me another one. You have to be completely naked under your gown, so you can't even wear a pad going into surgery. They are all med professionals...not a problem for them. Just be sure to let your nurse know when you get to your room. Mine started to panic when she helped me up for the first time after surgery, and I had blood on the thingy under me. I quickly said I had my period and she was very sweet about it. She quickly got me a pad to wear, and cleaned up my bed. I know its a gross thing to have to talk about...but you are right..its a part of life ! Hope this helped ! in Fl > >Reply-To: MiniGastricBypass (AT) egroups (DOT) com >To: <MiniGastricBypass (AT) egroups (DOT) com> >Subject: Can a post op woman answer a ? for me please?! >Date: Sun, 22 Oct 2000 23:18:04 -0400 > >Hi everyone.. > > Ok.. Guest guest
Its, not that gross... really. I just wish I could remember what you girls were talking about**** At 53 i haven't seen one of those things for about a yr. and a half now.. LOL I do know this, when you have surgery ,Sweetie, any kind of surgery, humility (prob. spelled wrong) is not an issue... When I was delivering my first child, in 1968 I was in labor for some 27 hours, after that first 24, I swear the cleaning lady dropped her mob out in the hall and came in to check how many fingers I had dialated!! NO lie!! But, I was so tired by then, I tried to go home, had c-section finally! Like she says, they are all medical people down there in Durham, and they have seen it all.. (smiles) Trudy Can a post op woman answer a ? for me please?! >Date: Sun, 22 Oct 2000 23:18:04 -0400 > >Hi everyone.. > > Ok..
