<<If preops can't follow his instructions on these application packages - and

trust me, we've all sweated through it - Dr. R. doesn't want them having the

surgery. He can't run the risk that they'll wind up permanently damaging

their new, delicate stomachs>>

I agree with you. There is a lot for us to remember after this surgery and

we have to know why we are doing it or we may not comply. This is serious

stuff. I will be sending in my packet next week, am just awaiting the

" paperwork " from my PCP. I sure hope she can follow directions or I may have

to ask her to redo it: just like DR.R asks some of us to " redo it " ! lol

And as for the psych evaluation, I don't know the person LT that you all talk

about, I refuse to look at her web site. I am sure the good Dr. Rutledge has

good reasons for reinstating the requirement for a psych eval. Need I say

more on that subject. She sounds pretty unbalanced to me.

Getting all this paperwork together reminds me so much of a time in 1990/1991

when I was getting ready to go to Romania to adopt a baby. This is a piece of

cake compared to that. There were so many forms and papers that both the U.S.

government AND the Romanian government wanted. Whatever they wanted I

provided. I now have a wonderful 11 year old daughter who is the light of my

life. She was worth every agonizing second I spent in doing " what was

necessary " in order to bring her home. I feel the same about having this

surgery...do whatever the government (Dr. Rutledge) requires and you will

have the surgery and your life will change forever.....for the better.

Just my . 02 worth
