Is unsweetened applesause legal

Hello eveyone,

I am fairly new. I have read the book and my son (6 years,pdd,nos) has

been on this diet for about 3 weeks. I am seeing some good

improvements. I did not find applesause on the legal or illegal list.

His school let him have unsweetend applesause yesterday without my

approval. Is this legal?

No... it's not legal. We need to make our own. You would have to get a written

statement of verification from the manufacturer, guaranteeing that they NEVER

add anything but the apples, and then it would be *okay* for you to use for your

family..... although still not " officially " legal. We stay away from declaring

new products to be legal because companies can change their recipes, their

policies, or their owners.... without notice to us. So, a product that was

" legal " can suddenly be very NOT legal.

Your son will be fine.... don't worry too much, just move forward. But from now

on, you may need to be sure the school ONLY feeds him what you send. I have

that in my daughter's written plan at school.... but they have still given her

things a few times. Once it was just raisins.... which are " legal " , but

something she was not at all ready for, and we had diarrhea for two days

afterward.

No, I'm sorry, it's not legal. All applesauce has to be homemade and it's easy
