Guest guest
Hi Folks, I went to my teachers' credit union today to see how eligible I was for a loan if (more likely when) it is determined that I will be self-pay. I have one of those lovely exclusion policies for weight loss therapies. So I find out this evening that I qualify for $9,750.00 and at first I'm so excited! And then I listen to the message again to find out that the interest rate is only 14.3%. I can buy a car for 7%. I can buy a computer for 9%. I can save my life for 14.3%. My stomach is killing me. Tomorrow I am going to re-send my whole packet to the insurance company certified mail. They keep telling me that there is no record of having ever received anything from my PCP's office. Because my case is going through something called Utilization Review, I am not allowed to fax or send anything directly. It must all come from my PCP. There is also no one I am allowed to call to follow up. I was on the phone with my insurance company all afternoon Friday to find all this out. Additionally, they will only cover 50% of the CPAP that I just found out that I need for the moderate obstructive sleep apnea that I have. And they are also pissed because my physician didn't get pre-approval before ordering the sleep study and at first they wanted to pin the cost on me. Its all so backward. I feel like a little kid playing a grown-up game but all the players are bratty little kids who don't understand how to make a logical decision. And ironically, many children are much more empathetic and understanding than adults with money on the brains. END RANT. love to all, 26 year-old the special education teacher in MD _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
