Guest guest
Heidi, thanks for the info. First, about the quiting drinking. I have tried many times before and have managed to " white knuckle " it for up to a month. Each time I quit though, I always have had a feeling of wanting to have a drink. I guess what is different this time is that when I was in the hospital some doctor litterally said, " Well, I am going to be the one to cut you open. " That was a wake up call. I can't speak for tomorrow, next week or the future at all, but right now I do not want to drink, nor have the urge at all to drink. Besides, my body keeps sending me messages, " Clayton, I can't handle it! " As for the medical tests, I don't know what kind of scan/x-ray it was. All I do know is that for that brief period in the hospital my bill is approaching $7,000. The first few days out of the hospital I felt really bad and in pain. Then things got better and I felt ok. Yesterday I woke up and felt alright at first, but then a dull ache set into my stomach. This grew into a mild pain. Anyway, after brunch with my wife I spent the rest of the day with a friend exploring the 'City, (San Francisco). I guess the excersize of walking a lot helped take my mind off the pain. By late afternoon when I went to an internet cafe, all the pain in the stomach was gone but then my back was really stiff and ached a lot. I have noticed that this is often occasioned when my stomach hurts or afterward. Anyone else feel like this? Heidi, you mentioned that my Dr. may want me to stop any activity that puts stress on my stomach. I love cycling and do a lot of mountain biking. In the past this has always reduced my stress levels and taken away any pain that I have. This is something I do not want to give up. In your experience, is cycling good or bad for the stomach? Well, hope all of you have a good day.
