Guest guest
Any of us with liver disease should check carefully before taking fish oil, because of the Vitamin A content. The issue of fish oil-based Vitamin A for people with liver disease is complicated. However, I don't remember the details well enough to risk writing about them and I'm too lazy to bone up on it. So -- if you have liver problems, check with your doctor first. Quite a few people with Autoimmune Hepatitis also have Celiac Disease. I have called the company regarding these capsules, and they are gluten-free. The name brand of "Kirkland" is on the bottle, and they come 300 capsules to a bottle. My son required preloading before he tolerated Omega 3 [fish oil]. I had to start with evening primrose oil [Omega 6], then move to Flax [Omega 3,6,9] and only then did my son tolerate fish oil. I bought one that indicated it tested clean for mercury, altho I did not independently verify that claim. Dana
Guest guest
> > Is recommended on the supps, > but doesn't that contain Mercury ? No. The form of mercury in fish is primarily bound in the water soluble portions of the flesh. It doesn't end up in the oil in any significant amount. SOme of the vendors do have heavy metal analyses for their fish oil. > I heard flux seed is not as effective, but am worried about fish oil... > Flax seed. Guest guest
Nordic makes a very good liquid Omega 3,6,9. It has a little lemon flavor to it so it is not too bad as far as taste. As far as a good multivitamin, I love Garden of Life. I take the one specific for women. It is called Vitamind Code. It is made from raw organic fruits and vegetables.
