My name is Glenda and I am one month post-op today.

I am down 32 lbs from the day of surgery and 36 lbs down total.

This is by far the best way I have lost weight. I do not seem to

feel hungry and when I eat I can only eat a very small amount.

I am still trying out new foods one at a time. Sometimes

something will sound good but when I eat it, it just isn't what I

expected. I fill up really fast. I am having to learn to take very

small bites and to chew, chew, chew. I found that when I do not

chew well enough or if the bite is too big, it is actually

uncomfortable. I am taking the citracel and tums and 3 multi-vits

a day. I am still using the carafate morning and evening because

when I stopped it I felt like I having some irritation in my stomach,

I keep waiting for the weight to stop coming off. I am eager to

see how much weight will be off by Jan 1st. I am going to

Thailand. We have a choir that is going to be singing and we are

going to have a formal concert. I have to order my outfit but it is

hard to predict what size I will be. I am already down 3.5 inches

in my waist. I am already wearing clothes tht I haven't worn is a

long time. People are stopping and saying Glenda, you are

loosing weight aren't you. I just smile and say I'm working at it.

Today after church someone said to my husband (when I was

not around) Glenda has really lost weight and she is looking

good. What is she doing? His reply was she is eating like a

bird. I am happy to answer questions or willing to be a contact

for you if you e-mail me personally. Good luck to all of you who

are in waiting.

I was in waiting for 5 months and ended up having to self pay.

It was worth it.
