Guest guest
Thanks so much for your story about ER's. It made me laugh and put a smile on my face!! Not to be rude or anything, but I could totally relate and when you said they gave you the toradal and you were allergic, then they panicked>>>> Well, I'm glad that you are ok, but I absolutely hate the ER rooms too. They treat you like you are a child and give out very mimimal pain meds. The last time I was there, I had this nurse that was very rude to me and made me wait a long time to give me an xray. She thought I was just having a panic attack!! I even asked her to check my panc enzymes, but they never did, though my liver enzymes were elevated. Well, she returned with a dose of tordal, and I started to go into a worse attack, she then gave me dilauded and told me that I was fine and I could go home. Well about 2 minutes later the pain was severe and I started to gasp and couldn't breathe because of the pain, well the rude nurse went into overdrive and couldn't figure out how to get my pain under control. Needless to say, she gave me more dilauded and some demerol and then ativan. Then when things calmed down she gave me some Lortab pills and percocet. So my frantic hubby had me swallow one Lortab and one Percocet before I left the ER. Of course I didn't remember a thing after that. The next day i was still comfortable from the pain. Aren't ER's trips fun!!!!(LOL) Kris in TN
