Guest guest
http://www.cdc.gov/genomics/activities/FBR/CF/CFCliVal_19c.htm This is not the site or one of the sites I am accustomed to go to, but does give a general idea; I did not notice whether the rare gene mentioned was includ ed, but do seem to recall that the other gene was deltaf508, which usually dominates, though not always. At least this is a beginning; I will see what else I can come up with. Anyone else who can find the whole set and the modifying genes on chromosome 19 has a tip of my hat (do not wear one)! I hope this leads somewhere, somehow! One thing I have been able to re search and that is that DeltaF508 of which all other cf mutations are a var iation, is one of the oldest genes that humans posess-- Well, other than the chromosomes: X and Y, obviously! Cheers! n Rojas
