Guest guest
To any of you southeastern SCDers that want a good deal on pasture raised chicken... The farm in eastern NC where I order chicken called me yesterday. When restaurants order from them, they have the boneless, skinless breasts bulk packed in about 3 1/2lb. packages. A restaurant in MS had placed an order for boneless, skinless chicken breasts. The farm over packed what they had requested. I had just placed an order for boneless, skinless breasts, and she called to see if I would be OK with buying the bulk packages. She has discounted them from $7 per lb. to $5 per lb. She said that not many people want them because they don't want to have to cook so much all at once, or shortly after the package has been thawed. They are beautiful, big, restaurant quality breasts. All of their poultry are completely pasture raised, rotationally grazed, antibiotic and hormone free, ect. Anyway, I ordered 30lbs., and she said she knew she had at least 45lbs. That leaves at least 15lbs. to buy for anyone who is interested. If you want to check out their web site, it is www.rmfpasturepuremeats.com. Genell is the owner, and her cell is (252)286-4577. Tell her that you heard from Meleah(is pronounced like Leah with a muh like you would say duh with an M instead) that she has bulk boneless, skinless breasts on sale for $5 per lb. I believe they'll ship anywhere in the US, but I figured those living in the eastern half of the country would be most interested. I hope this is helpful to someone.
