Guest guest
Hi , Alot to digest in this post and I want to give it some thought before giving you my opinion.... But from the top of my head, nothing that any of your doctors are saying is surprising nor is it necessarily wrong or unexpected. You are just seeing the difference of opinions that are out there between those doctors that are more liberal with the diagnosis of CP and those that aren't. You are aware that manometry and SOD as well as dyskinesia are all very, very controversial because there are no standards published and no overt, unchallagened anatomical or physiological changes that can be imaged or otherwise subjectively proven. Basically, these diagnoses are as open to interpretation as those given for CFS, fibromyalgia and IBS....that is, to some they are " real " diseases with proven disability....to others, they are some new age, yuppie life style disease that just doesn't deserve the term disease. Don't mean to depress you further, but you need to realize that you may have a very uphill battle here....... Laurie
Guest guest
I know Laurie...I really do and thanks for writing. But 's post really helped to put my mind at ease at least as far as what I can expect as a fed. gov't employee....I'm so grateful for her explanations. But I absolutely do know what you're saying here...open to MUCH interpretation and probably some luck but most of all...the way the fed gov't looks at things like " benefit to the fed gov't if I leave my slot (billet), how the " mission " is affected, etc., etc. Hope to " talk " to you soon...how have you been feeling lately? Thanks as always > > Hi , > > Alot to digest in this post and I want to give it some thought > before giving you my opinion.... > > But from the top of my head, nothing that any of your doctors are > saying is surprising nor is it necessarily wrong or unexpected. > You are just seeing the difference of opinions that are out there > between those doctors that are more liberal with the diagnosis > of CP and those that aren't.
