Guest guest
Hi- Just joined this group - we are getting our StarBand Monday and I would really like to find someone with experience using the orthotist in Richmond VA. I am still a bit skeptical about the whole process and StarBand in general but we are already driving 2 hrs one way to this location and the nearest cranial tech is over 3 hrs one way. My son, Brody, is 5 months old and has a brachy score of 100% and also some plagio going on. Does anyone else have close to these numbers and if so how long did you have to stay in the StarBand? Guest guest
Hi and welcome to the group. My daughter had brachy. Her specialist measured her at 100% (hand measurements at our initial consult), however the starscanner measurement was 97%. She got down to about 85%, and looks much better, although still not perfect (in terms of head shape). She started at 5 mo old and graduated 5 mo later. It was a long time, but overall the process went very smoothly and we continually saw improvement until she outgrew her starband. We were living in the san francisco bay area when she got her band. I hope you and Brody will have a good experience too. -christine sydney, 4.5 yrs, starband grad > > Hi- > > Just joined this group - we are getting our StarBand Monday and I would really like to find someone with experience using the orthotist in Richmond VA.
