Guest guest
Hi everybody Greetings! I've had radically increasing pain the past several weeks and I'm not quite sure what to do. The doctor's been increasing the strength of the pain patch, and I've gone to an almost clear liquid diet. My appointment with Dr. Catalano is on Tuesday. So far Dr. Catalano's office says I'm in too much pain for him to consider surgery. I could use some ideas on what is best to do/ consider. please email me directly at on_the_move4ever@... thanks so much Rick Nickles
Guest guest
Hi Rick, I just saw your post after being off-line over the weekend. I am not sure why you are getting that response from Catalano's office. My understanding is that pain levels, per se, do not make surgery impossible. Afterall, pain is usually the biggest indicator that something serious is going on. The best thing is to be evaluated to find out what is causing this new increase in pain. If there is some kind of problem that can be corrected by surgery, I do not believe that pain can be a reason to not do the surgery. My experiences with Dr Catalano's office were not the best so I am a little skeptical about what they are telling you...but I also realize that I may not be getting the whole picture either.
