Hello, everyone! We're new here also.

Our 4 1/2 yo son has many food sensitivites, as discovered when we received the

results from GPL. How do you start the SCD and deal with this issue as well?

Should we avoid the SCD legal foods which he is most sensitive to only (like,

almonds)?

Anyone has had this situation. What did you do and, how did it work for you?

Thank you for any help!

Hi,

We just started the dit about a montha ago. My daughter and I had so many

food sensitivities we could hardly take in anything but water. It was amazing

that I tried the suggested introduction diet and preperations and found that

within 2 days we were eating more things than we had been able to in months. I

can not stress enough the chicken soup, homemade applesauce, and juices to let

the tummy heal and then if it goes for you like for us watch out! Cook about 3

chickens, roasts, and anything else you can because it is amazing!

I hope this works as well for you!

Yes you should avoid legal foods that you are sensitive to. Allow the

gut time to heal.

When we first started, we avoided the nightshade and lily families as

well as limiting nut ingestion. Now we are fine with a bit of

everything a couple of times a week.

As the gut heals, the eater becomes less picky... So it pays to keep

to foods that are safe for the eater.
