Guest guest
Barbara, The home IV program is full at the moment, they only let 6 on at a time and at the moment they all live on the other side of the city. They rang me yesterday, no the day before and said they have a booking for theatre for Thursday but they are still trying to get an anaesthetist. So if they cant find one then they will have to rebook it. Her cough has lessened by about 80%. Eilish sat her first test on Friday, she is learning the 'ILK' words like milk, silk etc. she got 9/10. She did actually spell the 10th word correctly which was the word 'good' but she didn't position the circle of the 'g' on top of the line, it went under, so it gets marked wrong. That used to annoy me when Liam was only 6 and that happened. But they start it young the write correctly and it works wonders. And as she said she now knows to 'put the belly on the line'. isn't;t it soooo hot. We are going to look at show homes tomorrow in 40c which as you know is more like 45c out here. Stay inside and cool for this next week. Re: Back into hsp. Sorry to read this news. Hopefully now they've identified the cause the treatment will work quickly!! Have you decided yet on Hospital or Home IV's? Kristy and I were at clinic on Monday it seemed very chaotic as opposed to previous visits. Nicky has started in Year 11 and so far has had very little homework as she's been finishing it in free study periods..don't think that will last long once they fully get into study. Kristy on the other hand has had plenty of homework so far much to her disgust, her whole attitude at the moment is challenging. Barbara Mum to Nicky 16 wocf and Kristy 14 wcf > Eilish's dr. rang me this morning and told me she has culture > non-mucoid, sensitive strain of PA. I was a bit taken back as she > hasn't cultured it since May 2000. That's why her cough wont go. So he > wants her in for another aggressive round of IV's then 3 months cipro & > Coli. I said not till next week as she's only started school today > after 8 weeks holidays. Both of them were up early and excited about > going back.. Eilish is happy that as well as reading a book each night > she has to do spelling words and a project (this takes a week for each > project). Lets see how long all this 'happy homework' mood lasts. Liam > didn't seem to happy with 3 pages of homework per night plus 20 minutes > of reading. He's a brilliant reader so that bits fine. > > I on the other hand have got caught up on housework, washing and have > even cooked dinner and it's only 1.30pm. I am still deciding if we will > do home IV's or not this time. There is a dilemma with it. Firstly we > live out of the 30km cut of point so 2x daily we drive to my mums to > meet the physio there, which means Eilish can't go to school. If she > stays in the hsp. she can. Then if I am not here to supervise Liam's > homework will he fall behind? So I'll toss this around for the next > week. > > (Australia) > > > >
