Gave you a very warm and secure feeling, like the nurses really cared. Today the nurses have too many patients too handle or weren't taught in nursing school to do this. After all, nursing has to be updated, but do we have to lose all the good stuff??? Hugs and Blessings, Rose Post-Op Dr Shikora - Boston, MA >> Hey,-How have you been? How's your progress? You've been on my mind! Welcome to the other side! Oh,I've been a nurse for 16 years, and would much rather sit and talk with a patient than give a back rub,not that you get the time to do either now! I'm glad to see the role of the nurse expand,I just miss the time to get to knowe the patient. I do critical care transport now,and it's about the only time in the patients entire hospitalization that 2 caregivers(Nurse and Medic) are with 1 patient. It's unbelievable the things you discover about the patient and how it improves the quality of care!
