Guest guest
Dear Patty, I was on Domperidone for a couple years. I was taking it as part of the trial study for it. I had gastroparesis and they were trying to get my stomach to wake up. I was already on propulsid when I started it and it did speed things up more. It did help with the nausea, somewhat. The study was halted due to heart side affects, heart arythmias. They also pulled propulsid from the market for the same reason. I was told that domperidone was being developed because propulsid had so many side effects. Guess they found domperidone did the same thing. My Mds adjusted my heart meds so I could take the propulsid and domperidone as they enabled me to eat. Once propulsid was pulled from the market and the Domperidone trial was halted, I continued to get them from a pharmacy who made them. After I had my surgery to open the outlet to my pancreatic duct, my stomach woke back up and I didn't need them again. But if I ever need them again, I would take them. Talk to you soon.
