Social Security has a web site and you can actually start the process for SSDI

at their web site. It is www.ssa.gov. There are forms, information, frequently

asked questions and answers. There's so much info that it's a bit overwhelming,

but it's the best place to start. As you may have realized from many in the

group, it can be a VERY slow process to get SSDI approved, but the sooner you

start, the sooner it will be approved.

what kind of questions do you have? First, call the local Social

Security office and make sure you qualify for SSDI (Social Security

Disability Insurance- based on how long you've been working and paying

into the fund), especialy because you've been out of work for a while.

.. If not, see if you qualify for SSI ( Social Security Income) based on

financial need..
