Guest guest
Anita, Your nutritionist does NOT know what constitutes a legal probiotic for SCD!!! This one is NOT legal. Bifidus strains of ALL kinds are strictly illegal. The only strains we are allowed to supplement are l.acidophilus and s.boulardii. Patti Patti - probiotic Sorry Patti, I meant to answer your queries in my other email! The probiotic recommended by the nutritionist as being SCD legal was Biocare Dairy Free Mindlinx containing (per daily intake of 2 capsules): L-Glutamine 500mg acidophilus 45mg crispatus 23.3mg rhamnosus 17.5mg bifidobacterium bifidum 3.75mg lactis 3.75mg The other ingredients (capsule etc) seem to be scd legal. I have to say, Jack's autistic traits seem to have improved since we stopped giving him this, and my husband is certainly convinced that thier rise coincided with its introduction. Could be a coincidence.... I'm hoping that the stool sample we get done will be specific in identifying what is in Jack's gut and in what quantity so that we might be able to use a more tailored probiotic next time round. Best wishes Anita __________________________________________________
Guest guest
This probiotic is definitely not legal. It has some bacterial strains that Elaine didn't approve of. Good for you for dropping it. He definitely needs a probiotic to replace the bad bacteria with good, but you need an scd legal one.
