Guest guest
Hello All, I just can't believe what this year has been like. I was in the hospital in January,Feb,June,July, and the first week in Oct. I think one was an acute attack and the others were for port-a-cath infections. They finally replaced the port on Oct 6th, but now my shoulder and upper chest are really painful. One of the nurses at the infusion center who changes my port needle every week said it could be that the surgeon who put in the 2nd port was a lot rougher than the 1st one. I don't remember hurting like this for the first one. I still have IV Zofran running continuously and my intrathecal morphine pump that gets refilled once a month. I've actually gained weight too...10 lbs since March! I'd really like to get back to where I was in March, but I understand that weight gain is better than weight loss with this disease. Do we have any new TN folks? I've been gone so long I don't even remember who my TN folks are anymore. Could you update me please? I've been typing so much trying to update people, my fingers are aching now. Have any of you heard of Caring Bridge? It's a free website that patients can set up for themselves to help keep family and friends aware of what's going on with you. That way you don't have to keep typing the same info over and over in separate emails. I think I'm going to look into it some more. The address is: http://www.caringbridge.org Be Blessed, TN Diane (am I still a state rep?)
