Do they negotiate the charge like they do everything else? I have to pay 10% - is that 10% of the total cost or the negotiated cost? I was in the hospital a year ago. The total charge was $14,000. They (Aetna) negotiated it down to $5500 and I owed 10% of that amount. I sure hope they negotiate......
