Guest guest
Well, Susie, Mark Armstrong (my friend and partner in crime) has downloaded a definitive description of SOD. There is nothing I can add to that. You should visit his website and read-up on pancreatits. Mark's collection of info is the best on the web. I hope that you are aggresively pursuing finding a physician who knows about pancreatits. We ALL went through this. Almost ALL of us were initially misdiagnosed. I was told it was my stomach. When I finally got a diagnosis of pancreatitis, (that took 4 years) my doctor a gastroenterologist, told me not see him anymore, since there was nothing he could do for me. Nice guy, huh? That was a little over five years ago. I did find a great doc who treats me to this day. You will find a great doc too, but you need to do it yourself. Either get a recommendation from someone in your area, or start calling university medical centers around your area and ask for a pancreatitis specialist. I did the phone call route and it worked out great. DON " T SUFFER ANY LONGER THAN YOU HAVE TO! The right doc will get you meds pronto. Once again, feel free to PEM me with questions should you have any. Everyone here will try to help you if you ask for help.
